Career:	Mariette has over 20 years’ experience in the professional advisory and financial services markets. Mariette trained with, and become a corporate finance partner in, Grant Thornton. She then spent five years at NM Rothschild & Sons: two years as a corporate financier; three years as Director of Strategy and Finance of NM Rothschild Asset Management. Following this Mariette joined Legal and General Ventures, as Chief Operating Officer, where she recruited the finance team, developed investment accounting and reporting systems, participated in the annual fund raisings and acted as Finance Director to two investment trusts. Mariette went on to become the Chief Operating Officer of the hedge fund subsidiary of Old Mutual Plc. Her responsibilities included: strategic planning, purchasing and developing a sophisticated investment risk management system, and developing and managing the investment accounting and reporting systems. Immediately prior to joining Acanthus, Mariette formed and ran her own financial consultancy business, providing financial operating and investment management services to a family office and a private equity firm.
Education:	Mariette is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. She holds a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics from University College London.
