Deborah is Corporate Governance Counsel for the group of companies and is responsible for the implementation of the Company’s global corporate governance voting and shareholder engagement policies. Prior to joining the organisation in November 2007, Deborah managed corporate governance and engagement at Co-operative Insurance Society, having started her governance career there in December 2000.
Deborah is an Associate of the UK’s Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), and holds the Institute’s Professional Award in Corporate Governance, as well as acting as an Advisor to them on corporate governance matters, from an investor perspective. Whilst qualifying as a Chartered Secretary, Deborah was awarded the Institute’s prize for her papers in corporate governance, financial accounting and corporate administration. |
